About Me

I'm a comics artist, writer and illustrator originally from the Highlands of Scotland, now living in Glasgow. In 2014 I graduated from the University of Dundee with an MLitt in comics studies. In 2016 I won the International Graphic Shakespeare award for a comic adaptation of Macbeth. in 2017 I won a Scottish Independent Comic Book Alliance award for my first Graphic novel, A Stranger Came to Town. In 2022 my illustration work for the acclaimed ttrpg Wanderhome won a silver ENnie award for best interior art and a gold for best family game.I'm interested in depicting the monstrous and the biological, and how we use cycles of nature and animal imagery to talk about ourselves. My work tends to have a strong queer focus.I have an ongoing webcomic called Owl People, about fairies running amok in a Scottish town, and the creatures tasked with trying to keep the peace. You can read it here.
